The Strokes: Future Present Past (EP)
In 2001 The Strokes sparked an incredible hype with their first record the EP “The Modern Age” and their first album (also 2001) is maybe one of the best albums of all time. The Stokes return to the EP format “Future Present Past” is the closest you get to energy of their first recordings and will surely reignite expectations their next album.
The EP is available for pre-order here: The Strokes “Future Present Past” on iTunes

Car Seat Headrest: Teens Of Denial
My favourite album of last month. Car Seat Headrest, the lo-fi DIY project of Will Toledo, recorded it’s first vocals on the back seat of his car. Henceforth “Car Seat Headrest”. “Teens OF Denial” is the 10th album in less than 6 years but it’s the first regular studio album leaving the lo-fi style of earlier recordings.

Gregory Porter: Take Me To The Alley
Gregory Porters 4th album, his 2nd for Blue Note Records and the follow up of his Grammy winning “Liquid Spirit”. It’s an outstanding album.

Adia Victoria: Beyond The Bloodhounds
I’ve been looking forward to this album since I stumbled upon this southern chick a year ago and this is it, her debut, and it’s brilliant.

Radiohead: A Moon Shaped Pool
Radiohead makes this list by default of course. The new album is everything you would expect of Radiohead, though i would have loved a few surprises…

The Compilation “Still In A Dream: A Story Of Shoegaze 1988-1995”
This 5 disc compilation is like a tressure chest. If you have any love for shoegaze, this is a pure bliss of songs you probably never heard. Dig in. This one’s from the compilation:

Do check out these albums and singles as well. They are all worth it:
